Our client had three simple goals for her home renovation – get rid of the 1980’s dark and dingy design; create an open floor plan between the living room and kitchen; and most importantly, “get my husband out of the kitchen”.
Our plan of action was to remove the carpet and wood paneling, install LED lighting and hardwood flooring, and apply a light and bright décor makeover. We removed the partition wall between the living room and kitchen, took out the bookcases, and replaced the long decaying patio door unit. Most importantly, we installed a wet bar for her husband nowhere near the kitchen island.
All new appliances were installed in the newly designed kitchen. A new kitchen design included the installation of LED ceiling and under cabinet lighting, Wellborn Glacier Savannah cabinetry and Silestone Helix quartz countertops. Hardwood flooring was added to the living room and all the hardwood floors on the first floor were refinished.
Our clients LOVE their new, old home and wished that they had done this project a long time ago.
